Are there other events during the weekend?

Yes! If your travel plans permit, we would love for you to join us on Friday from 5-8 pm at CAM Green for a welcome gathering with drinks and light bites.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

The dress code is cocktail attire, though please keep in mind we will likely have our brief ceremony on the beach.

The dress code for the welcome gathering on Friday is casual. It will be held in an indoor/outdoor space with much of it outdoors on a large lawn, so please prioritize comfort.

Are kids or babies invited to the wedding?

We love your children, but we cannot accommodate kids or babies at the wedding. However, we would love for them to join the Friday welcome gathering!

Where should I stay?

Please see our Travel Page for details on accommodations. A handful of guests are staying at the Cape Ann Marina Hotel, where we have arranged a block of rooms. If you’re interested, please let us know, as there may be a few rooms still available.

Should I rent a car?

Getting to and around Gloucester: There is public transportation via the commuter rail from Boston. Much of downtown Gloucester is walkable, however, to take advantage of all Gloucester has to offer, we recommend having access to a car or carpooling with friends. Taxis and rideshares are available but can be limited.

What is the weather like in Gloucester in September?

It will likely be warm during the days (temps in the 70s+) and cooler at night (temps in the 50s). The water temperature is still quite warm at this point too, so weather-permitting, you can enjoy a day at the beach complete with an ocean swim.

How did Emma & Wes meet?

Despite both having attended college in Oregon at the same time, we met in Brooklyn, NY on a dating app. We bonded over a shared love of Oregon, NYC, running, architecture and food.
